Manchester Airport Terminal 3 Guidelines

Manchester Airport’s Terminal 3 is one of the airport’s busiest terminals, serving both domestic and international flights. Whether you’re departing or picking up passengers, here are the essential guidelines to help you navigate Terminal 3 efficiently:

1. Arrival and Parking

  • Parking Options:
    • Park and Ride Parking: This service offers the convenience of driving directly to Terminal 3, where a chauffeur will meet you, park your car in a secure location, and return it to you when you return.
    • Valet Parking: Similar to Park and Ride but with additional services like car washing, vacuuming, and an air freshener, perfect for travelers looking for extra luxury.
    • Affordable Parking: A cost-effective solution offering secure parking at lower rates. Ideal for those looking for long-term parking options without breaking the bank.
  • Arrival Time: It’s advised to arrive at least 2 hours before your European flight and 3 hours for long-haul international flights to allow time for check-in, security, and any potential delays.

2. Directions to Terminal 3
   

Exit the M56 at Junction 5 and keep right, following signs for T1 and T3.
As you approach the first set of traffic lights, take the left-hand lanes signposted for T3, Wilmslow, Wythenshawe and Gatley (A555).
This takes you onto Ringway Road West.
At the second set of traffic lights, go straight on. You will pass a business park on your left.
At the third set of traffic lights turn right signposted T3 and Car Rental Return.
At the first roundabout, turn right into Parade Road, signposted T3 Multi Storey.
Continue straight the car park entrance is the second left turn after the zebra crossing.

3. Terminal Layout

Level 1 (Ground Level): This level includes check-in counters, security checkpoints, and the departure lounge. After checking in and passing through security, travelers can access the departure gates.

Security: After check-in, passengers are required to pass through security screening. Make sure you have your boarding pass and ID ready for inspection. Liquids must be in containers of 100ml or less and stored in a clear, resealable plastic bag.

Mezzanine Level: This level is home to various dining options, shops, and lounges, offering a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere before your flight.

Departure Gates: Once through security, you’ll be directed to your gate. Keep an eye on the digital screens for gate information and updates.

4. Dining and Shopping

Dining: Terminal 3 offers a variety of dining options for all tastes, including fast food, sit-down restaurants, and coffee shops. Enjoy a meal at places like Starbucks, The Grain Loft, or The Lion’s Den Pub.

Shopping: Shopping at Terminal 3 is a great way to pass the time before your flight. Duty-free shops, WHSmith, Boots, and various luxury brands are available, offering everything from last-minute gifts to travel essentials.

5. Lounges and Comfort

Lounges: If you want to unwind before your flight, Terminal 3 offers several lounges, such as the Escape Lounge. These lounges provide comfortable seating, complimentary refreshments, and a peaceful environment to relax in before your flight.

Relaxation Areas: There are also designated quiet zones and comfortable seating areas for travelers to relax, with charging points for electronic devices available throughout the terminal.

  • Assistance for Reduced Mobility: If you require assistance due to reduced mobility, please request support in advance or upon arrival. The airport provides specialized help with check-in, security, and boarding procedures.
  • Lost Property: In case you misplace any items, visit the Lost Property desk located in Terminal 3 to retrieve lost items.
  • Wi-Fi and Charging Points: Free Wi-Fi is available throughout Terminal 3, and charging points are conveniently placed throughout the terminal for your devices.

7. Security and Check-In Procedures

  • Check-in: It is recommended to check in online before arriving at the airport for a quicker process. Be sure to have your passport/ID and boarding pass readily available at check-in counters if required.
  • Security Screening: You will need to go through security after checking in. Prepare by removing laptops, belts, and liquids from your bag for easier screening. Ensure your liquids are in containers no larger than 100ml and placed in a clear, resealable plastic bag.

8. Traveling with Children and Pets

  • Children: Terminal 3 is family-friendly, with baby-changing facilities and family-friendly areas to make traveling with children more comfortable.
